Big Spring
Symphony Guild

The Big Spring Symphony Guild’s mission is to support the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra not only monetarily, but to educate the community on the importance of music as part of our culture.  In the past, educational projects included the Nutcracker in a Nutshell and the instrument petting zoo.  The Graumann Family Memorial Scholarship for young musicians is still a part of the Guild’s regular education initiative.  It helps encourage students to stay involved in music.  Current fundraising projects include program sponsorship sales, the annual fundraiser luncheon and the “Tips for Scholarships”/Water Sales at concerts.

The Guild also supports the Big Spring Symphony by being a member of the Texas Association for Symphony Orchestras (TASO) and has even had members serve as officers on the board.  It also assists TASO with the “Juanita Miller Concerto Competition”, which has opened the door to some incredible talent from past winners who have been guest artists at symphony concerts across the state.

The Guild members assist at concerts with whatever is needed and also host receptions for the patrons and musicians when it is possible.  If you would be interested in Guild membership or want scholarship info please call/text 432-270-2125.
